"Hit it"

Every time I get a "Guilty" verdict I feel like a rock star. I'm exhilarated and over-the-moon happy. I feel like I've done some good. I've had a hand in getting a criminal off the street, provided a measure of justice for a victim.

Court security, the Clerk, the court reporter, your supervisor, the victim and his/her family and friends - all beaming. A prosecutor's equivalent to screamin' fans.

The "guilty" verdicts make the job worthwhile.

It sure ain't the pay.
